How it started

This site is built and written by people who've spent years on the operating side of digital businesses — choosing tools under real budget pressure, watching some decisions age well and others turn expensive, and getting tired of "top 10" articles that read like they were written by someone who'd never actually used any of the ten.

GetCoreTech is the write-up we wished existed before making those calls: specific, occasionally blunt, and clear about what we actually know firsthand versus what we're still forming an opinion on.

What we're optimizing for

Not pageviews for their own sake, and — at this stage — not revenue either. The site exists first to be useful enough that people bookmark it, share it, and come back.

Used, not just researched

We write about tools and workflows we've actually put hands on. When we haven't, the article says so plainly.

Specific over safe

Vague, hedge-everything advice helps no one. We'd rather take a clear position and be correctable.

Transparent about incentives

If an article ever contains an affiliate link or sponsored placement, it's labeled clearly, in the article itself.

Where we are right now

GetCoreTech is early. There's no ad network running, no sponsored content, and no guest post marketplace — we're focused entirely on writing things worth reading. As the site grows, we plan to open a real, editorially-vetted guest contribution process — but only once there's an actual audience worth contributing to.

If you want to be notified when that opens, or just want to flag a story idea, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
